Google tests new perma-silence feature for sites in Chrome

Google tests a new feature in Chrome Canary currently that gives you options to silence websites in Chrome permanently so that they are blocked from playing audio.

Audio is an important part of the Internet, especially when it comes to multimedia content and entertainment in general.

Audio can be annoying as well, for instance when sites play video ads with audio, play videos with audio, or play audio to notify the user. Basically, any playback of audio that is not user initiated is problematic from a usability point of view.

Explore Space with NASA’s Eyes

NASA's Eyes is a free software program and mobile application to explore earth, the solar system, the universe and spacecraft exploring them.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology created the application. Note that the app requires an active Internet connection as it retrieves data from NASA servers when you run it.

You can make those images transparent, and move them around as you see fit.

One of the core ideas behind Screen Dragons is to add a logo or other image to a recording of the desktop. It may also be useful on kiosk PCs, and in situations where you'd like to see one or multiple images all the time on the desktop.
