New Winamp Community Update Project (WACUP) preview released
Back in early 2019, a first preview of what the developers called Winamp Community Update Project was released; designed to improve the original Winamp music player through its extensive plugins system, WACUP did fix bugs, added features and updated existing features.
A new preview is now available that introduces another batch of improvements to Winamp. The new release is based on Winamp 5.666, like the previous one.
How to turn off Text Predictions in Word and Outlook
Microsoft announced the upcoming release of a text prediction service in Word and Outlook last year. Text predictions, as the name suggests, predict words and phrases users are likely to type, and provide options to add these to texts with minimal effort.
Microsoft suggests that predictions help users type faster, and that they may also help reduce spelling and grammar errors.
View a mail's contents quickly without clicking on it with the MessagePreview extension for Thunderbird
How many mail accounts do you have in Thunderbird? The more you have, the more cluttered it becomes, doesn't it? And if you have a ton of mails, it's not any easier to manage them.
When you want to find something that you need, you either use the search tool, or take the manual route, i.e., you select the mail and it loads in the message pane at the bottom of the program's interface.

If you don't agree to WhatsApp's new terms, your account will eventually be deleted
WhatsApp users who don't agree to the new terms and privacy policy by May 15, 2021, will have their accounts deleted eventually.
Facebook-owned WhatsApp displayed a banner to its users in January 2021 in which it informed them about changes to its terms and privacy policy. At the core of it is a new data-sharing agreement with Facebook.
DuckStation is an excellent PlayStation 1 emulator for Windows, Linux, macOS and Android
The PlayStation 1, Nintendo SNES, GBA, and DS are my favorite consoles of all-time because they have tons of RPGs. I remember playing WWF/WCW games, and many JRPGs on my old Windows 98 computer using ePSXe back in the 2000s.
Create your own SDelete shortcut for secure file deletion
When you delete files or folders on Windows, they are not deleted right away. Windows has a recycle bin, and it is the place that all deleted files go to by default. You can clear it or use the Shift-key to bypass it whenever you want to delete files and folders right away, but even that does not remove the data from the device at that moment.
Migrating from LastPass to an alternative password manager? KeePass vs Bitwarden, which one will you choose?
LastPass recently announced that it will be limiting cloud-access to one-device per user, so if you were using it to sync your passwords to your phone and computer, you won't be able to do so from March 16th.
TitleBarBattery displays your laptop's battery percentage in every window
If there is one thing that laptop users worry about constantly, it's the device's battery life. Many users keep their computer plugged in at all times for work/gaming purposes. But sometimes you may have no choice but to use the system on battery power, like when you're travelling.
First non-final Tabs redesign courtesy of Proton lands in Firefox Nightly
Mozilla is working on a Firefox design refresh under the codename Proton. The project is in its early stages but the general plan appears to be to refresh pretty much any user interface element in the browser.
Mozilla did create several mockups of browser elements, sometimes multiple, to showcase some of the ideas its UI team has for the refresh. It is clear that the project is still in its infancy and that final decisions have not been made yet.
