Move individual files to folders in Windows with FileToFolder

FileToFolder lets you move individual files that you select to their own folders in Windows.

Have you ever had to sort through a large list of files in Windows? Maybe after downloading hundreds of music or video files to a single directory, extracting a large archive of files or simply wanting to sort through a download folder that grew over the years.

Mozilla improves Firefox’s full screen handling

Mozilla tweaked Firefox's full screen behavior in recent Nightly versions of the browser (that is version 43) to make it less annoying to users.

Some sites allow you to run applications or services in fullscreen. Many video streaming services such as YouTube or Twitch offer full screen options to stream videos in full screen.

Music streaming service Spotify recently announced it would be changing its terms of service and stressed it would be better. However, what followed apparently scared users and now the company is trying to explain what it means -- damage control mode.

In a blog post simply titled "Sorry", CEO David Ek attempts to allay fears. Spotify apparently was getting a lot of negative feedback due to the confusion over what various parts of these conditions mean.

Reactions to Mozilla’s announcement about upcoming Firefox add-on changes

The official blog post on the Mozilla blog revealed WebExtensions, Electrolysis, Add-on Signing and the deprecation of XUL, XPCOM and the permissive add-on model in particular, and a rough timeline as well.

Make UAC prompts less intrusive on Windows 10

Microsoft introduced the User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 to block activities requiring administrative privileges on Windows systems until an administrator permits them.

The company relaxed the feature in Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 to make it less annoying for users.

A simple example of UAC kicking in on Windows 10 is the launching of the system's Registry Editor. Windows displays an UAC prompt whenever you open the editor on the system.

Windows 10 issues? Contact tech support from within Windows

One of the new features of Windows 10 is a tighter integration with Microsoft Support. You may know that you can call Microsoft Support, use Microsoft Answers on the web or get chat support instead but all those options were not integrated in the operating system itself.

The new Contact Support application changes that as it integrates tech support directly in Windows 10.
