Edit your online visibility with Google About Me

Google's About Me page enables you to manage Google account information that are publicly available on the Internet.

Whenever you create a social media account, and sometimes others as well, you expose some information to the public.

While there is no guarantee that anyone else stumbles upon the information ever, it means that it is theoretically possible that it happens.

Microsoft enables full support for asm.js on Windows 10

Microsoft enabled full support for asm.js for Windows Insider builds 10532 and up yesterday.  Since it is generally assumed that the long-awaited TH2 update for stable versions of Windows is 10586, it will be available on those systems this month as well since Microsoft plans to roll out the TH2 update to all systems this month.

Asm.js was designed by Mozilla and implemented in the Firefox web browser in Firefox 22 on June 25, 2013.

Gmail Search to inform you about matches in spam

Google is rolling out a feature currently to Gmail on the web that changes how search works on the service. To sum it up, search takes into account matches found in spam on Gmail which it did not before.

Previously, search only took into account all regular folders such as inbox or user defined folders as well as the trash when you ran a search on Gmail.

Happy Birthday Firefox! Tell Mozilla what you think of Firefox

I don't remember when I switched from using Opera to Firefox, but it must have been around the time the browser appeared on the scene.

Firefox was released back in November 2004 and became an overnight success thanks to its speed, customization options and features it shipped with.

In fact, Firefox has been the default browser on all of my systems since that time and while I'm using other browsers as well, there are certain things and features that Firefox offers or supports that others don't.

Fix PayPal not logging you in when making payments

For a while know I have experienced a frustrating issue on PayPal that prevented me from logging in to the service to make payments when other services redirected me to it.

When you select PayPal as a payment method on third-party sites, you are usually redirected to the PayPal website where you are asked to sign in to your account before you get a chance to allow the transfer of funds to the third-party service.

This happens even if you are signed in to your PayPal account, for instance in another browser tab.
