This is Chrome’s new Security Overview Panel

Google launched a new Security Overview panel in its Chrome web browser recently which has been designed to provide detailed information about the state if a site's secure connection.

Designed for webmasters, it can be a useful tool for regular Internet users as well as it reveals connection-specific information that make it easier to determine why a site is not showing the green "all secure" icon when connecting to it.

While that is not something that you may need access to every day, it can be useful in certain situations nevertheless.

Since it is script-based, it is easy enough to check out what it does in detail, and even to add or remove commands from the script to adjust it accordingly as its author allows code modifications or the sharing of the code or components.

AIMP is a popular music player that has the look and feel of a modern Winamp in my opinion. The player has been updated to version 4 recently, featuring a new interface (you can restore the classic interface) and other changes.

The player has a plugin system that works similar to that of Winamp and, what may surprise new users, it even supports Winamp plugins to a degree.

AIMP ships with several plugins, but you can install new ones that are made available on the official website to extend the player's functionality further.

Firefox 44: Find out what is new

The official release data of Firefox 44 is January 26, 2016. This overview provides you with detailed information about the new release including new features and changes in the desktop version of Firefox and the Firefox version for Android.

Mozilla updates all channels of the browser that it makes available at the same time. This means that Beta, Developer Edition, Nightly and Firefox Extended Support Release channels will be updated as well.

This means the following version changes: Firefox Beta 45, Firefox Developer Edition 46, Firefox Nightly 47 and Firefox ESR 38.6.
