Block Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

Edge Blocker is a free program for the Windows operating system that users or system administrators can make use of to block Microsoft's new web browser Edge on the system.

Microsoft made the decision to make Edge the default browser on Windows 10, and it shows as it is integrated deeply into the system. Not only is Edge the default browser of Windows 10, it can also be quite difficult to do away with it for good in case you don't want it to be available or used on a machine running Windows 10.

FileWing Shredder: delete files securely on Windows

FileWing Shredder is a free program for the Windows operating system that you can use to delete files or folders (containing files) securely on PCs running Windows to prevent recovery.

This can be useful if the PC is shared, if you need to bring it in for repairs or replacement, or if you plan on giving it or the storage device the data is on away.

There are other ways to handle this in some situations, for instance by placing important data only in encrypted spaces.

Undercovers for Android is the Tinder for sexual fantasies

Undercovers is a free application for the Android operating system that provides you and your partner with an indirect way to share sexual fantasies.

The main idea behind the app is to find matching fantasies. While you could certainly talk about those, some may prefer an indirect approach instead, and that is what Undercover offers.

Puzzle Bars: Get more control over Firefox icons

Puzzle Bars is a free add-on for the Firefox web browser that adds several icon control options to the browser improving how you access browser-specific and add-on icons in Firefox.

Firefox users don't have that many options anymore by default to customize where browser icons and add-on icons are shown in the interface since Mozilla removed options like the status bar from the browser.

While it is possible to regain access to these using add-ons, most Firefox users are left with placing icons either in the main toolbar or the main Firefox menu.

Registry Finder: third-party Registry editor with quick jump

Registry Finder is a third-party Registry Editor for machines running a flavor of Windows that offers features such as quick jumping that the default editor of the operating system does not support.

If you ever had to edit Registry keys or add new ones using the default Registry Editor of Windows, you know that it is not best suited for these tasks.

While you get things done using it eventually, navigation, search, and missing features delay the editing significantly at times.

Replace Chrome’s Download Toolbar with an icon

Downloads is a free browser extension for the Google Chrome web browser that removes the -- rather clunky -- download toolbar from the browser that pops up whenever files are downloaded using it.

The extension adds an icon to Chrome instead that you can use to manage downloads.

Google Chrome is in many ways a restrictive browser. There is no option to add toolbars or sidebars to the browser, and the interface can only be customized slightly all in all.

Who Stalks My Cam informs you about webcam usage

Who Stalks My Cam is a free program for the Windows operating system that detects webcam use and informs you about it.

All modern laptops and smartphones ship with microphones and cameras for communication and other purposes.

While those are usually initiated by the user, there is at least a chance that someone else might hack into the system and turn the web camera or microphone on to listen in or watch.
