Windows Repair Toolbox review

Windows Repair Toolbox is a free program for Windows devices that provides you with access to third-party repair and troubleshooting tools.

The application itself comes as a 2 Megabyte download which requires the Microsoft .Net Framework and is compatible with all versions of Windows from XP onward.

The download does not include the third-party tools that the program makes available, as those are downloaded when they are used for the first time.

Only native Windows tools are readily available right after installation and without further downloads.

Research before subscribing to a VPN

While many would probably disagree, I consider VPNs essential when it comes to improving your privacy and security on the Internet.

There are big differences between VPN services, from price and availability to privacy and traffic.

Avira Phantom VPN first look

Avira just launched Avira Phantom VPN, a free and paid virtual private network (VPN) service for Android and Windows devices.

The free version of the service is good for 500 Megabytes of traffic each month but you can double that amount by registering an account. The pro version is available for €59.95 and is good for unlimited traffic.

Both share most features including a no logging policy for visited websites and access to all country servers the virtual private network service makes available.
