Search across all Netflix regions for movies and TV shows

Flixed is a free service that allows you to search across all Netflix regions to find movies or TV shows that you are interested in.

While Netflix touts itself as a global entertainment provider -- it is available in most countries of the world at the time of writing -- what is offered in different regions that Netflix is available differs highly.

Want to watch the TV show Gilmore Girls? Can only do that in the US or Canada. Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles? Only available in Scandinavia. Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope? Only in Mexico, Columbia, Brazil and Argentina. The movie The Monuments Men? Only available in Canada.

The list goes on and on, and even if you tune in from the United States -- the region with the largest offering of TV shows and films -- you are not able to watch everything that Netflix has to offer.

This leads to one question: how to find out a movie or TV show is available on Netflix in another region?

Flixed offers a solution. It offers a searchable database supporting all Netflix regions in the world. Just type the name of the TV show or movie and hit enter to start a search on the site.

A whole array of filters is provided by Flixed that help you narrow down the search results. Among the options are to filter by type (movies or TV shows, or both), genre, country that you want checked, year of release, audio or subtitle languages, or minimum ratings on IMDB.

The country selector is quite useful if you have access to a virtual private network (VPN) and use it to watch Netflix movies or shows available in supported regions as you can deselect those countries that you don't have access to via the VPN.

 

Matches are displayed instantly, and for each map you find the flags of the countries you can watch it in listed underneath it so that you know where it is available.

There you also find listed the IMDB rating if available, a short story synopsis, and tags.

A click on "more details opens the show's or movies' profile page on Flixed. It lists additional information about the selected flick including seasons (if it is a TV show), information about the cast, audio and subtitle availability, and metacritic reviews.

The "watch now" button on the other hand opens the movie or TV show on Netflix in the same browser tab so that you can start watching it right away.

If you perform the search on Netflix directly, you will only get regional results as you can see on the screenshot below.

What's missing is a direct way to browse all offerings available in a particular region. You can get that listing by using the country filter and the "unselect all" option before checking the country that you want to get a listing of available TV shows and movies for.
