My take on the Windows 10 Creators Update
Microsoft revealed the name of the upcoming Windows 10 update today; the Windows 10 Creators Update will be out in 2017 (likely March).
The company revealed several upcoming features of Windows 10 Creators Update today. While those events get me excited usually, this one in particular did not.
Remember the 3D Builder app that Windows 10 ships with? The announcement felt a lot like that app. Interesting, but nothing that I will ever make use of.

Designed to collect information about hardware and how software and services are used, it is used by Microsoft to identify trends and usage patterns.
Microsoft states that personal identifiable information such as names or addresses are not collected.

Mozilla launched the new Test Pilot project No More 404s yesterday on the official Test Pilot website.
The add-on has been designed to provide Firefox users with options to read an earlier version of a deleted web page.

NET Framework 4.6.2 released
Microsoft released the .NET Framework 4.6.2 yesterday for most supported versions of Microsoft Windows featuring "dozens of bug fixes and improvements".
Microsoft ships version 4.6.2 of the NET Framework with Windows 10's Anniversary Update meaning that it does not need to be installed separately on systems running the latest version of Windows 10.

The latest stable version of Google Chrome for Android, version 52, ships with improvements that promise better battery life and reduced data usage when watching videos.
If you like to watch videos on your mobile device, and use Chrome for that, you may benefit from improvements that Google implemented in Chrome 52.
Attention: Some Fosshub downloads compromised
Some software programs on Fosshub, a free project hosting service, appear to be compromised and serve malware payloads .
Fosshub is a popular file hosting service that software projects such as Classic Shell, qBittorrent, Audacity, MKVToolNix, and others use as their primary file download service.
Basically, what these projects do is link either directly to download files hosted by Fosshub, or link to a download page for their programs on Fosshub.

How to install Microsoft Edge extensions
One of the new features of Windows 10's Anniversary Update is support for Microsoft Edge extensions.
Originally released in the Windows 10 Insider Build 14291, extension support is now available to all users who have updated the operating system to the Anniversary Update version.

Download and install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update
While the release date of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is August 2, 2016, not all users will receive the update on that date as Microsoft plans to roll it out gradually.
Microsoft plans to deliver the update via Windows Update starting 19:00 CET, and via the Media Creation Toolkit at around the same time.
