Analyze Amazon reviews for authenticity

Shopping websites like Amazon support review systems that allow customers to leave reviews for products on the site.

Designed to add unique content and information to shopping sites, ratings are often also used when it comes to an item's visibility on a site.

Customers who buy online may rely on reviews more than they rely on product descriptions to make buying decisions.

This in turn makes it very profitable to push reviews for products. This is called fake reviews, and it usually involves someone paying reviewers to leave reviews on a shopping site.

TranslucentTB make Windows Taskbar transparent

TranslucentTB is a free open source program for devices running Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system that makes the Windows Taskbar transparent when run.

The Windows Taskbar is one of the central locations to start and manage programs on Windows ever since Microsoft improved its functionality with the release of Windows 7.

While functionality changed -- you can pin programs to the taskbar, and use new features like jumplists as well -- appearance options have not changed all that much.

Firefox 53: JSON Viewer on by default

Mozilla plans to enable the built-in JSON Viewer of the Firefox web browser for all browser channels including Firefox Stable in Firefox 53.

The organization integrated the viewer in version 44 of the web browser, but did not enable it by default for all channels but the Developer Channel.

Firefox's JSON Viewer displays structured JSON data instead of the RAW data dump that one gets when the viewer or a third-party extension is not enabled.

Steam Customizer: create custom Steam skins

Steam Customizer is a free service that enables you to create custom Steam skins that you can apply to the Steam client program on your computer.

Steam supports custom skins that you can load, but the process of creating or loading skins is not as comfortable as it could be.

Steam Customizer changes that. It lets you download any skin from its site, or create a new one instead that you can download, in the first step.

Windows 10 Creators Update: Blue Light mode

Blue Light mode is another new feature that Microsoft will introduce with the Creators Update for Windows 10 that will be out in April 2017.

The feature is very similar to Apple's Night Shift mode that the company introduced in iOS 9.3, and to a degree also to popular applications like F.Lux which have been around for much longer than that.

Windows 10 Creators Update: Dynamic Lock

Dynamic Lock is a new feature of the recent Windows 10 build 15002 Insider Build release designed to lock the PC automatically when you are away.

While you can lock the PC at any time using Windows-L, or configure your PC to lock automatically after a period of idle time, Dynamic Lock attempts to make this easier on the user.

Locking manually gives you the most freedom, but there is a chance that you forget to do it. Configuring the PC to lock itself when it is idle works, but many users may not know how to do it.
